Long a path of pilgrims, soldiers and merchants, the Tuscan section of the Via Francigena crosses through villages, towns and cities where hospitality is a tradition. Comprising 16 legs and almost 400 km, it offers not only a well-marked walking path, but also a substantial number of noteworthy places of worship.
