With its cities of art, natural parks and beautiful villas, Tuscany has always been one of the most loved regions by filmmakers from all over the world. How can we forget the scenes from Ridley Scott's Gladiator shot in Val d'Orcia or the love for Florence in a Room with a View by James Ivory.

In this article, however, we want to take you for a walk around Tuscany on a journey punctuated by the most beautiful songs whose music videos were shot right here! So turn up the music and get ready to visit the locations of these hits.

Madonna's Florence

The first artist we want to tell you about is Madonna. In 2012, the queen of pop shot the video for Turn Up The Radio, the third single from the MDNA album, between Florence and Galliano.

In her video, the icon of the LGBTQ+ community travels the streets of the city in a cadillac convertible through an actual crowd of people. In the background we see Piazza Ognissanti and the unmistakable Lungarno.

So why not organize a weekend in Florence?

Another queen of pop, but this time Italian. Myss Keta is an artist from the Milanese underground culture who has become a true icon in recent years.

The background of the video of her Xananas is the seafront of Livorno with the inevitable Mascagni Terrace and the white beaches of Vada, a location awarded with the Blue Flag several times.

This is just one more excuse to visit Livorno, perhaps following a one-day itinerary, to discover the liberty villas or simply to remake the video and publish on social networks! CRAZY!

Speak To Me is the song by Amy Lee (ex Evanescence) from the soundtrack of the film Voice From The Stone shot between Tuscany and Lazio.

The video of the single, released in 2017, is shot at the Castello di Celsa, which gives a view from the Montagnola Senese countryside that spreads from Siena to Monte Amiata.

Inspired by this song, you can visit the area to discover other castles or perhaps organize a 5-day trip in the shadow of the volcano of Monte Amiata.

Tsunami, Annalisa's third single taken from the 2020 album Nuda, was shot in the Maremma Natural Park, a beautiful green oasis of nine thousand hectares.

The park is perfect to be visited on foot, following the network of trails for trekking and Nordic Walking, but also by bike or canoe.

If, on the other hand, watching Annalisa's video makes you want to go for a horse ride, you can follow the Via dei Cavalleggeri, the horse trail that starts from the Maremma Park and crosses two other protected areas: San Rossore Park and that of the Apuan Alps.

We conclude this review of musical places in Tuscany with Ciclone by Takagi & Ketra, Elodie and Mariah. Last summer we listened to this song many times, it's a fantastic hit.

The song, inspired by Pieraccioni's great film success, also incorporates the film in the music video and is the perfect opportunity to organize a trip to discover the locations of the films set in the province of Arezzo or to get to know the Tuscan countryside better.
