The Super Tuscan Ecomarathon crosses the Etruscan Coast, from Bolgheri to Campiglia Marittima.
The event was formed from the desire to promote the territory through running and slow and sustainable tourism. The sporting and sociable event allows you to discover nature, local products, villages and the culture of the Etruscan Coast. The beauty of the landscape and the high quality local products strongly link sports tourism and the area's food and wine, giving a unique experience to athletes and their companions.
Saturday October 2
Four routes to discover the most beautiful areas in the world
The 44km itinerary starts within the village of Bolgheri, in the municipality of Castagneto Carducci. The route winds through the famous cypress-lined avenue, and some of the most well-known vineyards in Italy. It then travels along the via Bolgherese and the ups and downs of the hills. You then reach the Val di Cornia, characterized by mines and metalliferous hills, as well as by the vineyards of D.O.C. Val di Cornia. It continues through the municipalities of Sassetta and Suvereto, up to the finish line at Campiglia Marittima.
The shorter distances (10Km, 18Km and 28Km) respectively start from Suvereto, Campiglia and Sassetta and all end in Campiglia, that forms the second part of the 44Km, going through vineyards and woods, with a view of the sea on the horizon.

5Km Wine and Walk food and wine event
The Sunday event is dedicated to anyone who wants to discover nature and the food and wine gems of this wonderful area, following the race.
The 5K Wine and Walk is a fun walk that's suitable for everyone, crossing vineyards and the estates of the cellars that produce some of the best wines in the world. The ring route takes place in the surroundings of Castagneto Carducci, a relaxing activity that's perfect for athletes following the race, and for their companions.
