1st DAY: SATURDAY
Arrival at the hotel. You will set off to discover the historical centre of Grosseto: the Dome (Cathedral of San Lorenzo) and its recently discovered underground passages; Piazza Dante Alighieri featuring the Palazzo Aldobrandeschi and the statue of Canapone; the Church of San Francesco with its cloister; the walls and bastions dating back to the Sienese and Medicean periods, among which the Cassero Senese still stands intact. Finally, you can visit the MAAM (Archaeological and Sacred Art Museum of the Maremma), a fundamental stop as it covers the entire history of the Maremma.
2nd DAY: SUNDAY
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit Vetulonia, a picturesque village in the Maremma with an interesting archaeological area. In the afternoon you will visit the Diaccia-Botrona Nature Reserve, considered to be the most significant wetland area in Italy, which has a rare and significant ecosystem. At the end of the visit, departure to return to the headquarters.
