Take to the woods with an expert hunter and his highly trained truffle dogs as they guide you to locate and “dig” this rare and delicious, intoxicating and aromatic edible treasure. This is a must do for foodies, foraging enthusiasts or those who love the field-to-plate experience and for anyone who just loves the Tuscan countryside. 

Our meeting point is the car park at the farm. Here you will meet up with your expert truffle hunter and his wonderful dogs. To help you get the best of the companionship of the truffle hunter, and the many curiosities about the dogs, the woods and countryside and the local area in general, you will be accompanied by an English speaking interpreter.

The hunt usually lasts between 1 to 2 hours, depending on the weather and the luck of the hunt! In spring and summer, when the dry heat does not allow the dogs to work at their best during the day, it is necessary go truffle hunting in the early morning, around 8:30 or to postpone it until the early evening, say 5:30-6:00 pm.
The morning truffle hunt works well with a lunch cooking class to follow, while the afternooon/early evening hunt can be followed by a truffle based dinner at the farm house restaurant. Of course, both are also available as stand alone activities.
