Let yourself be guided in your discovery of picture-perfect Tuscany, the Val d'Orcia, where rolling hills, lush vineyards and sunny cypresses will be your travel companions. The small corner of paradise is just 2 hours by bus from Florence, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, transporting you to a land of excellent wines and world-renowned local products.
As you move away from Florence, you will be able to admire the transformation of the landscape: tall buildings and busy streets will give way to the green of the Tuscan countryside, dotted here and there by small villages and surrounded by vineyards and hills. The first stop will be Montalcino, a delightful village perched on a hill and dominated by an imposing medieval fortress. The city is famous all over the world for the production of the delicious Brunello, a very fine wine that you can taste in a local cellar. You will also learn the production process of this wine in the company of the owners of the company.
After some free time, you will leave for Pienza, the "ideal city" designed by the architect Rossellino at the behest of Pope Pius II. Admire the delightful Duomo, Palazzo Pubblico and the panoramic terrace overlooking the entire Val d'Orcia. Here you will be offered a tasting of locally produced pecorino cheese.
The last stop will be Montepulciano, a charming village between Val d'Orcia and Valdichiana Senese, immersed in a breathtaking hilly landscape, where you will be offered a tasting of the famous Vino Nobile in a cellar in the historic center.
You will return to Florence in the late afternoon, taking in the stunning panorama kissed by the sunset.
