Relax and wellness

The wellness-enhancing qualities of sulphurous waters, set in the green Sienese hills

Close to the medieval town of Rapolano is the San Giovanni Terme Rapolano spa establishment, where you can combine a wellness and relaxation-centered holiday with interesting excursions in the Crete Senesi region.

Surrounded by sweet clay hills and a horizon lined with vineyards and olive groves, the Spa Center is the ideal place for a quiet and restful vacation. The five thermal pools, all of which have different water temperatures, are spread over indoor and outdoor areas, allowing guests to relax and recharge against a backdrop of incredible panoramic views.

The thermal baths of San Giovanni are made up of sulphurous-bicarbonate-calcic waters that gush from the source at 39 degrees Celsius. Besides the general relaxation and wellness that these elements provide for the body, the water holds curative properties for skin issues as well as the motor and respiratory systems. Additionally, massages (of the aesthetic, curative or pure relaxation varieties) are offered in the Wellness Center, using classical and Eastern techniques; also on offer are aesthetic treatments for face and body using thermal mud and cosmetic products from the “Terme San Giovanni” line.

On the weekends, San Giovanni Terme extends its opening hours until the night, allowing visitors to take in the magic of moonlit baths.

The hills of Chianti and the Siena area nearby both offer numerous options for exciting itineraries. Just a few kilometers away from Rapolano Terme, you can visit historic towns and key art destinations that are still historically and culturally relevant today: Cortona, Montalcino, Montepulciano, Pienza and Siena, to name a few.
