A natural oasis in Fivizzano, with a botanical garden and an acrobatic path among the trees

The Frignoli Biopark in the municipality of Fivizzano stands at 900 metres above sea-level in the Appennino Tosco-Emiliano National Park and is divided into several natural areas.

There is a botanic garden here where you can admire over 600 different species of flowers and plants from the Apennines and the Apuan Alps, but also learn about natural edible herbs, toxic ones and peonies.

The biopark also has a breeding scheme in place for the repopulation of the Apennine trout and the river prawn, a large river terrarium for the trout and native amphibians, the “Lo Scoiattolo” acrobatic path, where children and adults can explore the park from the tree-tops in complete safety, and the trails of the Cinque Foreste, which twist and turn through different types of fir, beech and oak forests.

At the biopark you can have picnics in the equipped areas, sleep under shelter and enjoy the local produce.

The Frignoli Biopark is temporarily closed.
