Small museum of traditional milling in Mugello

The Faini Mill is located in Grezzano, in the municipality of Borgo San Lorenzo. The Faini family, who still owns it and manages the museum, bought it back in 1780: since then, the mill has become a point of reference for the community and marks its tradition.

Located at about one kilometer from Casa d'Erci, the museum of the Faini Mill is divided into six sections, each of which brings us back to a specific moment of the milling process. In this way, we can relive the daily life of the many generations that have followed one another in the management of the activity. Inside, the history of the mill is recalled thanks to documents, interactive audios and the machines and tools that were used for producing flour.

An important testimony that allows for the continuation of this legacy of knowledge and flavors, which have made the Faini Mill become, over time, an institution known throughout the territory.

The museum is temporarily closed.
