A beautiful walk in the Chianti countryside, surrounded by vineyards and olive trees. An easy (about 4 miles, flat) and very scenic walk to reach an ancient place, rich in history and still little-known.
We will visit the remains of the Etruscan tomb of the archer, discovered by chance in the 1970s and, taking a leap of almost 3000 years, we will relax in the unusual park of contemporary art (unique of its kind in this area of Chianti) owned by a local farm where we will be welcomed with good wine and a picnic basket for a snack.
An experience between history, art and nature accompanied by a local guide. We recommend comfortable shoes, closed, suitable for walking in the countryside and a supply of water.
The tour takes place every 1st - 3rd - 4th Thursday of the month on request.
For small groups from a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 8 participants.
Wine tasting with snacks (stuffed focaccia, skewer of vegetables and cheese): Euro 20 per person to be paid cash at the farm
Meeting at 3:30 PM (4:30 PM in summer from June 24) at the parking lot of Montefiridolfi.
Brief visit to the square and the town center; continuation on foot to the Etruscan Tomb. Along the way, short stops to admire the view and learn more about ancient places such as the former convent of Santissima Annunziata and the Church of San Colombano. Guided visit to the Etruscan Tomb of the Archer.
Time to relax: nice break and snack at local farm, surrounded by a breathtaking view among vineyards, olive trees and contemporary art installations.
